Chad’s strong attention to detail helps keep MagnaStor’s code perfect. He ended up at MagnaStor through a previous project in which he worked with memory systems.

In his spare time, Chad loves to race dirt bikes.
Landon Deren, Quality Assurance (QA) Lead
Landon’s favorite MagnaStor feature is the ability to view an earlier snapshot of files versus a normal file system where any changes are lost.
“Working with MagnaStor allows me to experience and use brand new technology that has been
used in very few places.”
Landon’s ambition is to achieve excellence. When he isn’t doing quality assurance, he enjoys photography, playing video games and hiking.
Jeff Rhyason, Developer
Normally, it is hard to get experience developing file systems, so working with MagnaStor matches Jeff perfectly since he enjoys file system design.
“There are probably less than 5,000 people in the world working directly with file systems. I like
that aspect — our approach is very unique.”
He has a passion for problem solving and hearing people’s problems. Outside of the office, Jeff likes to spend time with his two children.
Joe Howes, Senior Programmer
Joe was recruited to the MagnaStor team in 2006 when the team needed a programmer with an artistic eye for GUI work. Joe takes pride in how MagnaStor programmers are only allowed to write perfect code to ensure that MagnaStor runs flawlessly.
“It is the cleanest code I have ever worked with.”
Joe has a huge diversity of skills — animation, film post-production, drumming, cycling, acting and programming. He sees life as an adventure and enjoys sampling life’s experiences.
